Ban The Bomb
The Voices
Single [2 Tracks]

1. Ban The Bomb
2. Shall We Now

There’s not too much information on The Voices available on the World Wide Web even after a little google searching, but let’s let the music speak for itself. And with two tracks that’s a big proposition to make. Feel the pressure.

‘Ban The Bomb’ has a kind of Killer-esqueness to it. It’s electronic Indie which is so popular at the moment. It has clear and focused vocals, a song with a message? It’s poppy and catchy and is a definite track you can bop around to. Funky electric guitars dominate along with the vocals to bring the track to life. At the beginning I wasn’t sure about it as you feel like you may have heard it all before but it is a grower and has something else that makes you want to listen.

With ‘Shall We Now’ the electronica continues. It brings you back to the eighties but with a modern twist to it. This track sounds that bit darker compared to ‘Ban The Bomb’ and it has a sinister quality to it. It’s funky and smooth and has flowing vocals. It has that electronic sound that is so now.

These tracks are cool and give the listener what they want at the moment, although I don’t think this genre of music is destined to stay around long into the future. With bands like The Killers and The Futureheads going from strength to strength there is definite room for The Voices. They have a cool, clear and funky electronic sound and hopefully in the future we’ll hear more from them – and possibly find out some info too, although all the mystery is kind of intriguing.
